Silo Woodworking started as a way for, Josh, owner and master craftsman, to get back to his roots.  Josh is the proud son of a 3rd generation farmer.  He grew up in small-town America and worked on the farm with his dad from a very young age.  After growing up and moving away, he felt a strong pull to get back to working with his hands, the way his father and grandfather had for all their lives on the family farm.  He found his calling and passion in woodworking.  He started out by just making custom pieces for family, then some friends and it has grown, organically, from there. 

 

Josh is the proud father to his 4 fun-loving, energetic kids and lucky to be married to the woman of his dreams. As their family has grown, he is constantly struck by the power, love, and sentiment connected to family traditions, new and old. A big part of why Josh loves woodworking is because he gets the opportunity to create custom furniture pieces that families can build their own traditions and memories around for generations to come… that’s a powerful thing.
